I have a couple ingrown hairs on my lower thigh, upper thigh, and one on my stomach. My arms and chest also have some. I notice yesterday that I have three tiny ingrown hairs on the base of my penis (I can actually see the hair comming out of it). The doctors tell me its normal. What do you people think?

Ingrown hairs are normal. If you see the hair coming out, then that sounds like what you have. Also based on your test results, I would think you are ok. Believe me, I'm not judging you, I understand about stressing over every little symptom, but maybe it is time to talk to a professional about this.

I know that ingrown hairs are normal. But I NEVER had the combination of symptoms that I currently have. I find it more than a coincidence that after I had sex with a strange female that these things all decide to pop up.
PS-I would see a shrink if my insurance covered it.

Man Dada, I'm going through the SAME thing u are, I've read some of ur other post and it seems like were in the same exact position as far as the symptoms and what we did to believe we have H. I have ingrown hairs too that I was terrified would be Herpes. But I think that when U get scared of having something, u notice things that maybe were already there u just never saw before. Did u already take a blood test? and at how much time? And how was ur believed first OB?

IGG herpeselect after 6 weeks was NEGATIVE. Doctors said "told you so".
less than.9 is negative
my scores were .08 for herpes 1 , and .04 for herpes 2
The std doc's and pcp told me that is conclusive. they said that 6 weeks is plenty of time to have sufficient antibodies. They said at 3 weeks i would have had sufficient antibodies.
They say Im fine and have no symptoms. The urologist thinks that stress is making all this happen (yeah right)

Don Dada. I had the test at three weeks and was told I was negative. I'm having it again at six weeks. I've read some of your posts. Was wondering if you had an actual outbreak or what you considered your outbreak to be. Unless I am reading your test results wrong it looks like you are negative for both HSV1 and HSV2. I've read that those with the most severe outbreaks of genital HSV2 are those who have not been previously exposed to HSV1.

Hi Jade
Well I consider my this to still be my first out breat and it had lasted 6 weeks and counting.
I had a urethra disgaharge, painful urination, feeling like I had to urinate all the time, testicle pain, tiny rashes, tiny ingrown hairs on my thighs, pubic region, stomach, chest, and arms. The Under side of my penis is red and "damp" and it hurts/itches. The skin looks unhealthy. I feel weak, depressed, and my vision is blurry. My tounge has had a white coating on it for 6 weeks too. My joints feel achey too (especially my ankles and my knees)
I am obsessed with herpes. I spend hours reading about it and talking about it. I have had various doctors, friends and even family members examine me. They dont think anything is wrong. One doctor suggested that its a fungal infection (one area between my fingers is geeting red and very itcy....looks like fungus).
I dont get erections.
My penis feels like its dead.
I have been officially diagnosed with epididymitis (inflamation of the testicles), urethiritis (inflamation of the urethera), and oral thrush (white coating on tounge)
I went to church yet again today at 9AM. I told the Pastor exactly whats been going on.
I want to get married and have kids so badly in the future. (Im basically impotent now)
Im 8 weeks from last sexual contact. So next month will be 12 weeks and I will be tested for HIV and Herpes again.

Don Dada: I'm sure a lot of these symptoms could not be contributed to herpes like impotence and thrush, but both of those can be stress related. Its nothing I can say that will make you change your mind. Maybe you can look into some relaxation techniques to help you out. The more you stress yourself the more you can make yourself sick. (This advice is coming from a professional worrier.)
