this is weird, but this is the third time in about five years that i've had a huge pimple on the exact same spot. it's on the edge of my upper lip where the lip meets the skin around the mouth. on one of the peaks of the cupid's bow.

anyway, it looks just like an enormous pimple - a whitehead - and i would consider it just that except that it comes back to exactly the same place, i'm not really subject to acne much, it tingles when it starts, and it lasts two weeks or so. also, i bought acne medicine and tried that on it for three days and it didn't respond at all.

it doesn't look like the pictures of herpes cold sores i've seen online at all. i've also bought that new abreva stuff and been using that for several days and nothing is really changing. still there. does anyone have any idea what this could be? is it really acne or is it some weird virus that isn't herpes?

sounds like herpes #1. Your doc can give you a lotion that will make it go away quickly.

AHHHH! That sounds like me!!! except i had one under my bottom lip!! and now i think one is coming in on my upper lip but closer to the inside of my mouth!!! I am planning on getting tested VERY soon. if u wanna talk about anything, i am MORE then willing, cause i am freaked out myself!!
