I have a long history of piles. For from 2005-6 two years I had them. Ligated four at one shot, then a number of months later ligated one, then a number of months later ligated two.
2008 feb I went to the docs since there was blood in my stools. the doc found numerous small piles too small to ligate with one internal fissure. the fissure was of medium size.
there is no symptoms now but should i ckeck for the piles again? On one hand if there are piles i want ligation instead of surgery. on the other hand, checking it via spectro(sp) may cause the anal fissure to be worse if it is still there

Hi,
I wouldn't want to have a scope if I wasn't having any pain or bleeding. It could reopen the fissure. Why take a chance when there are no current problems?
Piles (hemmies) are not something that needs attention if they are not bothering you.
Make sure you are getting enough fiber in your diet and also do not become constipated. This can cause any piles to become worse.
