Hi everyone,
For the past 2 years or so my hair has been slowly thinning. It is not thyroid (i have had that checked by an endocrinologist) and it is not genetics. Everyone in my family has a full head of hair.
It may be from PCOS according to my doctor. So she recently put me on birth control to hopefully help with that.
BUT---
I have serious scalp burning and discomfort. Sometimes I can't even touch my scalp it hurts so much. Could possible INFLAMMATION be the cause of hair loss?? WHAT SHOULD I DO!!
I went to a dermatologist for this a year ago and he basically told me "dont worry, youre not going bald. Its probably stress". Well, looks like he was a hack. Its not getting better and it can't just be stress.
I need help. I hate feeling this disgusting because of my hair :(

This could well be a bad fungal infection..I would find another dermotoligist and show him what it looks like now that it's burning.

would the infection show up on my scalp? Or is it something I could take care of with some sort of anti-fungal supplement?
I'll look into it. Thanks
