georgi 06-18-2008, 08:22 PM Just curious as to what your symptoms are.I am thinking that everyone is different. Thanks georgi Sponsor Moonlady 06-19-2008, 01:02 AM As I have mentioned recently, no dx yet... still waiting on my appointment... but here are my symptoms. All these pains do not affect me at the same time or the same place at all times. It moves around... here and then there or 3 or 4 places and once and then on to somewhere else and then nothing for a while.... I just never know when or where it is going to strike next. Muscle Weakness/Fatigue when doing very little in arms and legs, and also in my jaws when I first start to chew. IBS Symptoms... gassiness, bloating, severe constipation, sharp pains (not near as bad as it used to be) More recently a feeling of not emptying the bladder and then easy leakage when coughing even though bladder is not full (not sure if this is Fibro related or not) Weight Gain (25 lbs) Arthritis Type pains (joints) fingers, toes, wrists, ankles, knees, hips, elbows Other Bone Pain (long bones) upper & lower arms and legs Nerve Pains, Squeezing pains, pinching pains, shooting, zapping......pains. These are hard to explain sometimes. Numbness in hands and arms, usually when overworked Pain on the bottom of my feet when walking, usually after resting for a short time and then getting up. Back pain, upper and lower, usually only when working Shoulder and collar bone pains Once in a while I get a pain on the ribs next to my left breast or under my breasts Sometimes I feel like I am retaining water, my hands feel swollen sometimes and my ring gets tight Food sometimes feeling like it is getting stuck in my throat when trying to swallow On and off again depression Memory and Thinking problems... can't think straight half the time and also I say or write/type the wrong things a lot. Like earlier they were advertising for a show on TV about a girl that has eight limbs, 4 arms and 4 legs and since my husband was in the other room and came back in at the last of the ad, I said this girl has 2 legs and 2 arms and of course he had to correct me. And believe it or not, I just had to edit the 4's up above because I had typed 2 just now. Geesh! And my latest most embarrassing weird symptom is the day after my DH and I were intimate, my stomach muscles felt like I did a bunch of situps all day the next day. Any movement and I could feel the pain in my stomach muscles. I am not sure if this is related to being intimate or not but felt it worth mentioning in case anyone else has experienced that. Well, that is all I can think of right now... Although this list is long, there is probably something I am still missing.... Shays mom 06-19-2008, 09:51 AM Terrible short term memory. Muscle spasms in my toes, calves and thighs. My normal temp is 97.6. Weight gain (about 40 pounds over the past several years). Joint pain in knees. Tighness and extreme exhaustion in legs (feel as if they are heavy like a lead apron). Depression, anxiety. IBS. Very sensitive to sunlight, Lichen Planus (inflamed along gum line during a flare up) Numbness and aching in fingers. Mitro prolapse valve issue. Wake up tired. Other than that...I feel great. ;) Moonlady 06-19-2008, 10:33 AM My normal temp is low like that too... 97.6 Donna1964 06-19-2008, 09:13 PM Is that some kind of weird link for us? Thats my normal temp too. Has been for as long as I can remember. To answer the symptoms question: IBS, bone-like pain in arms, hand, legs, feet, and neck, muscle spasms wherever, numbness(more like fuzziness) and tingling in shoulders, feet, and face, burning and whelps on my scalp, fatigue, trouble sleeping and a great disposition:D. Probably forgot something, oh yeah, forgetfulness too:jester: I think that's it. Donna kellibear 06-19-2008, 10:12 PM a lower temp. is comon in fibro pt.s and is usually due to an underactive thyroid., or hypothalamic dysfunction. a great book that explains this is "from fatigued to fantastic" by dr. j. teitelbaum. i started taking all of the natural supplements he recommends about 2 months ago and already have improvement with fatigue, pain, depression and insomnia. i highly recommend this book!! TexMom85 06-19-2008, 11:57 PM Low body temp here, too (about 97.6). Other ailments: disturbed sleep (very bad insomnia), IBS, constant sense of deep body aches, weight gain, memory issues, Restless Legs Syndrome (not sure if it's related). I have disk issues which have resulted in nerve pain, and I also have developed sleep apnea due to the weight gain from meds and illness. I also experience anxiety attacks from time to time (shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat). I had a hysterectomy and my gall bladder out, and I think my FM contributed to both. I have had some depression, but it seems to have been more related to medication than my illness. Of course, being sick all the time can tend to make you depressed. It sucks, doesn't it? Tex k2626 06-20-2008, 03:28 AM I have not been dx but feel I could have this. IBS (get sharp left sided ab pains before or during BM) GERD What I think could be FM: Fatigue, tingling in foot, bone pain-currently mainly in feet, ankles, toes (feels like my bones are going to crush) hands, tail bone, occassional shooting pains in legs. The pains noted above just started over the past week and came on quickly ana33 07-16-2008, 05:46 AM Hi, I have Fibro and my symptoms are sore back, elbows, sholders, feet, hands, fingers, thighs. I can't alot of exercise as i get sore feet if i do more than 20 mins. niecsey 07-17-2008, 04:19 PM Me too undiagnosed fully have most of whats been wrote here. I hate the exhaustion and weakness and muscles spasms oh and new to me the pain in my feet lately :( pava7065 09-06-2008, 01:54 AM I have pain in many of the points and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia among other things. I have disintegrating disks in my spine, spinal stenosis that is congenital, some ruptured disks in the lumbar area. I was ill at 7 months of age, and was not taken for medical treatment. I wasn't walking yet at 2 years of age and was keeping my mother awake many nights. I received two weeks of physical therapy and showed left sided weakness, and ir was decided I had had polio at 7 months of age. I have had coordination problems all my life, and I am experiencing problems with balance, and left sided weakness, and had fascitis in my heels when I got out of bed. I take neurontin for that and it has helped a lot. I get fatigued walking with my 4 footed cane and especially so without it. I have been diagnosed with lymphedema in the extremities. The diagnosis was made after a bout of cellulitis in my right leg. It started in June, 2004 and continued until November or December. I was in the hospital 6 times, and had a pick line and IV antibiotics for several months. That is when my left leg weakened more. It was strange to see Fall Precaution written on the black board outside my door! I have arthritis in my left shoulder and a tear in my rotator cuff which I think was from 2003 or 2004 when I was putting a parakeet in a cage behind the recliner. I tripped over my purse, hit my thigh on a metal can and landed with my hand down in a big bag of pine shavings, with the bird still in my hand. I fell full force on my shoulder, and it was very painful for months. The parakeet came through it without a scratch. Pat Kellogg shrtcak81 09-06-2008, 02:07 AM Hi everyone! My main fibro symptoms are pain/achiness, stiffness (in mornings and late afternoons), fatigue, sometimes dizzy/off balance, dry eyes, tension headaches, and burning/tingling sensations. Among fibro I also have other conditions that other people with fibro seem to have as well. Those include hypogycemia, IBS, GERD, IC, vulvodynia, and anxiety/depression. I wish it would all go away!
