I take lunesta 2.0 mg occansionally. Was wandering is it better than Ambien and is Ambien addicting or safe to take.

Or anything else you might have found that works for you.

I sleep with Lunesta but it must be very fragmented sleep because I feel just the same way I would with no sleep.

Just Curious

That's difficult to answer as everyone can react differently to different meds. I've never tried Lunesta. However, I do take Ambien 10 mg short acting (generic) on occasion and it does the trick for me when I'm having a sleepless night. I sleep well and feel no hangover effects the next day which I did experience when trying Ambien CR.

I would think one could become "dependent" on any sleep med. That's why I'd rather go a few nights with little sleep and then take my little Ambien pill!

Good luck to you.

I take 100mg of Elavil every night at bedtime and I have a good night's sleep.
Before I started taking Elavil I had insomnia with depression and hardly slept at all. Take care.

Sincerely Nadine:)

I also take 100 mg of Elavil and was working okay until I started back to work??

On my off days, I sleep fine.
