My brother inlaw's girlfriend told him that she has HPV. They have 2
children and both are in there 30's. He is only w/her but as far as her
w/other's it is up in the air. How could he of gotten it and should he
see his Dr.

Does he know if she's high risk or low risk? Low risk strains cause genital warts, which he would have to keep an eye out for, and high risk strains can cause cervical cancer, which obviously doesn't pose a threat to men.
She also wasn't necessarily with other people; HPV can lie dormant in your body for a long time, or she could have not been having regular paps.

newpatient is right.. she could have had it for yyeeaarrss and not even had known.. she may have even gotten it from him since he has no way of knowing he ever had it to begin with.. if he had gotten it from a past partner, he could have spread it to his current girlfriend. There's no way to really point a finger with this virus because it's absolutely hidden in one sex and takes years to show effects in the other sex.
