My mom is 73 years old and she has pancreatic cancer that is in the liver. She did not want to know time frame and is fighting like hell. She is currently on gleevac and gemzar. However, she had a bone scan 2 days ago and they found a spot. We went today for the xray so they can take a closer look. If it's cancer, she would undergo radiation. If this happens, she is taken off the gleevac (trial) and would only do gemzar. I asked if there were other trials my mom could try and they said no. Does anyone know of any other trials or treatments? I keep hearing and reading over and over about this horrible cancer. It's hard to find any stage iv survivors. Please Please can anyone help? She is my best friend!
