Hi all x been feeling pretty grotty so havnt been on lately the usual symptoms... the flu symptoms the costo symptoms the upper back muscle spasms hands arms shoulder urghhhhhhhhhhhhh :( my oh made me laugh so much earlier l cried with pain.. my upper back and centre of my chest/ribs ache so bad :( lve a new symptom well its not new just havnt mentione dit before as it hasnt been there when lve posted 9sorry to waffle lol) its a deep type pain which appears fro no reason just under collar bone on left hand side it even hurts to rub it does anyone else can that too? Hope everyone else isnt too bad today and has a good weekend x

I have had it for over 4 weeks. It was on my back, behind my shoulders blade on my left side, and the pain rotates to the front of my chest, and it hurts when I breathe. I went to the doctor 2x for this, and he said is was part of fibro. How lucky, right? Another darn fibro health issue. It is best to rest, and put heat on it, and it does take time. Finally after 4 weeks it is easier, there is less pain, and I can breathe.

Take it easy, take ibuprofen (I take vicoprofen), it helps with the inflammation and pain., which can be extreme when trying to move.

Be good to yourself, and rest.

I, too, am having a really rough time lately. Glad you posted on this because I have had problems with the pain that you describe. I notice that I usually get this particularly before I start my period. Feels like a knife stabbing me in the left shoulder blade area. I am with Kass...Heat and NSAIDS usually help. It is very painful. Hope that you feel better soon :) Take Care...

CYNDI!!! MY periods due too!!!! Things are always worse then :( the pain l described below collar bone doesnt cause me to have pain around my shoulder blade its a seperate pain altogether if that makes sense? However l do get the shoulder pain to :( were all just a mass of weird pains lol take care all thinking of you all xxx

Yes, that makes perfect sense. Sometimes the pain is so difficult to describe...Makes it hard when you try to describe it to the doctor and NOT sound like you are crazy;) Hope that you feel better soon....Hang in there:D

Just got over a flare made ohhh so much worse by a stomach virus I managed to catch. Man, getting chills when you are also flaring with back spasms is the pitts!!! Couldn't lay in the bed for two nights. Spent a lot of time in the recliner or walking (or should I say dragging) around. Feel somewhat human today but still can't eat any "real" food. I hope you keep feeling better too.

Yea!!! when you have a cold/flu symptoms is does make the muscles spasms so much worse! I know the feeling not been able to get comfy!! Take care all ps it really helps to know your not alone bless you all xx
