Hi everyone.
I just returned from a week long trip to an environmental teaching camp/school with my daughter's 6th grade class. We were outside most of the time, and even though I looked like a geek, I took my umbrella on most of our hikes that involved being in the sun for any length of time. I was really glad I protected myself and everyone understood.
Here's what i've been pondering, though. I ended up with several mosquito bites (just like everyone else), but for some reason the after effects of the bites (swelling, itching, more itching) were very mild. I've always had a pretty strong reaction to being bitten...that is lots of swelling and itching that lasts a while. Is it possible that being on plaquenil (which I take daily) and NSAIDS diminished the reaction to the bites?
Just curious if anyone wanted to weigh in on this.
Thanks!
