My dentist gave me prescription tooth paste that has alot of flouride in it. I'm supposed to use it several times a day after brushing my teeth to put on my teeth around the temporary bridge. He said to make sure that I don't get any cavities around the teeth while the permanent bridge is being made.

I spit out the excess tooth paste but some says in my mouth on the teeth, it can't be helped. I've been getting stomach pains and diarhea for the past two days while using this.

When I was given that, the instructions said you're only supposed to put a very thin line of that stuff on the brush and only use it once per day. Yes, too much flouride is bad for you.

ok, thanks. I better get clarification from my dentist. In the meantime. I think I'll just use the flouride rinse that I was using before I got this tooth paste. It has even more flouride but it's easier to rinse out of your mouth since it's liquid.

Flouride is a poison. Have you ever seen the label that is you swallow more than a pea sized amount that you should call poison control and seek medical help? That is because of the FLOURIDE. The US was the first to begin using this and many other countries followed suit. Since, most of those countries have banned the use of flouride because they found it to have a negaive effect and is not helpful. Our american dentists and the ADA still believe in it. I personally stopped using it and I have natural tooth paste without flouride or I use baking soda. Look into it.....
