Nexium (or something like it), along with a strict diet. You can also have internal bleeding from it. FLFLOWERGIRL:)

How did they confirm that you have gastritis? Did they perform an endoscopy and took biopsies?

yes endoscopy and they took some stomach polyps and biobsys

depends on the cause

peptobismol can help, by virtue of its coating action

acid suppressing medications (Tagamet, Zantac, Prilosec, Nexium) can help if it is related to excess acid

mardebjs--Also, if you have gastritis be sure that they check you for H-Pylori. Have you had that test yet? FLFLOWERGIRL:)

Yes I had that blood test last year and it was negative. I think they test the biobsy for it also. I still didnt get my biobsy results I will let you know what it says.
