Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I am back with another question. I can't wait until I am a bit more knowledgable and can start helping others! Anyways, I started IV steroids Sat. Going for third infusion today. Eyesight has gotten worse. I have seen no improvements only moving backwards. Any ideas on how long it takes for steroids to kick in? I am gettin so nervous. I don't feel comfortable driving at this point or anything. Thanks in advance, K

Hi Max...you probably shouldnt be driving on steroids...thats the first thing. They can really do a number on your system and your judgement. Not to mention the ON to begin with, keeps your judgement from being 100%.
As to how long they can take to kick in, they can take a week or longer, or they might not work for you at all...some people find that steroids do nothing for them, they dont work the same for everyone..however the other side of it is they can kick in a few weeks after the infusions stop, as well. Ive heard of this happening...its a slow thing, its not overnight....the amount of steroids is very high and the amount of damage to your nerves is equally bad- so you have to be positive and give this time....
Heres hoping you feel better, soon!
