This site is about obesity, but there is so much about your eating habits and what is causing your blood lipids to be so out of whack, that I had to come back and post this for you.

phja, after 3-4 years on strict low fat and counting every gm of fat that was consumed ( less than 15 gms. per day)..living our lives by the numbers on lipid panels... we just quit the numbers on anything. "Opposite and equal reaction" sort of thing. Low Fat eating didn't do one bit of good.. numbers didn't budge except the trigs. and they got worse and worse!
It isn't the cholesterol numbers anyway...it's whether they are oxidized or not! That is the key! Use the search engine here and read "Oldguy".. every word that he has posted in the past...search with "BHT" too.
We quit with the lipid panels every three months! What good are they in the long run? Lab work to check the oxidation of the lipids is what is needed. There is a lab that does that, but I'm not allowed to post the site where you can learn about it here. They aren't selling anything, you have to go through your doc to get the lab work done there, and the research tools and papers there are fantastic!! Highly educational!!
Sorry.
Edit...DH, who one year ago last month, was lying on the sofa, muscles aching, barely able to move, acting like a mean angry bear, forgetting everything, just sick as a dog, pale and unhealthy ( a casuality of Lipitor and Zocor and a low fat diet) is, at this very moment, outside in this 98 degree heat tearing down a 24 X 40 pole shed, loading it on his truck and hauling it away! (All by himself.) His beautiful muscles glistening in the sun shine, and him laughing at me standing on the porch oohhhhing and ahhhing at him while he was working!! "Hey, Baby, just look at cha!! Wooo-hooo!!"
Does this say anything for this WOE?!!(Way Of Eating) Remember when you felt healthy?
