View Full Version : Is it good to have cholestrol numbers that don't register on the monitor

I had my cholestrol measured on a portable machine and the pharmacist said it was so low, that it did not register on the machine. I asked if there was an error in the reading and she said no. She said it has happened before, but only on two other people she has tested, ever.

Aren't there supposed to be some cholestrol that is supposed to be good cholestrol?

It is possible to have a low cholesterol reading, and if it is too low it is bad for you.I would be suspect of those home kits, especially in this case.Go to a lab and have it checked. You need to get it verified by a reputable source. One question about when you tested is,how long did you fast prior to taking the test?If you did not fast then the results are inaccurate.
