Hi all...for those of you that dont know me, I have been on a mission the past two weeks to find out what is wrong with me. Here is what I have been feeling:

- Dizzy spells (on and off for past few months)
-Fatigue (about a month)
- Shooting body pains that come and go (last two to three weeks)
- Pain in joints (ankle, feet, back, hand) Sometimes it lasts a few minutes, other times hours.....feels like its my bones and that they are going to crush

So my new doctor is running a bunch of tests on me and has referred me to a neurologist. If all the blood work comes back okay, he suspects M/S.

What do you think? I have been so insanely scared that I have bone cancer

Hi there. Im not exactly why you are suspecting bone cancer..the symtoms you mention here are pretty unsuspecting...but they are also kind of generic. Its a good thing to start with a neuro- he can rule out all sorts of things..but MS doesnt jump out here either...yes, you can have some of the symtoms which you describe, but MS doesnt just happen...and usually in your history, you will have more reasons to suspect MS then what you list...how about balance issues, or heat sensitivity? Do you get dizzy when you get out of a hot shower or hot tub? Joint pain and shooting body pains also point towards Lyme disease, you might want to read up on that and see if it sounds more like Lyme..
No matter what, there are thousands of worse things to have happen to you then MS...hard to believe, but its true.
Keep us posted and good luck.

Thanks for your feedback. I guess I worry its bone cancer because my bones hurt...for example, last Friday I could not even walk because my ankle felt like it was going to crush, in the am it was fine. Then my spine was hurting, hours later my foot.

I do not get dizzy with heat/cold. But I do get randomly dizzy at times.

I get electrical zap like feelings in my body. I actually started getting them over a yr ago but it was in my head...had a ct scan for tumors but was fine, they said it was ice pick headaches.

Yes, there are definately much worse things then MS ( I guess that is why I am more fearful of bone cancer) , though I know MS is no picnic for sure.

You have not had any of the correct tests to rule out MS...CT scans wont do it..
You need to go see an MS specialist or at least a good Neuro to find out what is going on with you...however, the more you post, the less I think that it could be MS....so, explore all the possiblities and start having the right tests..CT scans arent going to rule out much in Neurological issues...by the way, Bone Cancer is one of the easiest things to rule out...a simple bone scan will point towards any problems..thats like an xray. A MRI will help diagnos both ice pick headaches and migranes, and show lesions on the brain which can be MS or can be Lyme disease!

Please go see a good doctor, one who is familiar with Neurolgoical symtoms..
youll feel better if you rule out the obvious.
stay well.

You need to be seeing a neurologist who deals with MS. Some of your worries are unnecessary and can cause illness through stress. I would not venture to guess or worry. If you are seeing the right doctor, you will get the right answers.

HOney,
so many different things can cause bone ache, include age. It can be DDD (degenerative), Arthirities - all comes with territory.
I have RA (rheumotoid arthirities since childhood) and leave with bone pain for all my life. Now more osteo came into the picture so more places and more bones hurts.

So I wouldn't worry about cancer; you would have a lots more symptoms than you have now if you would have cancer.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks Moldova...I am only 33 though :( I am just in sheer panick over this. I have been very fatigued too. I am wondering if it could be stress/depression as we just learned my dad has weeks to live...he was just dx with pc that has spread.

Sorry to hear about your father. Certainly stress and depression can cause a whack of symptoms. Contact your doctor, as there are treatments out there for stress and depression, even to just get you through the rough period.

Sweetie,
I am so sorry about your daddy, this is so hard! And doesn't matter how old we are or they are - always tragic to loose our parents and always so much sorrow it brings to our lives.

And yes, body and mind have connection: without your mind being relaxed and clear your body takes a bit for it. Did you noticed when you don't sleep well, when you tired you feel the whole body hurts?

This does not mean you don't have and see your DR for check ups, always good to do it for your piece of mind and if something is wrong it can be cured on time.
I hope you will find inner strenght to deal with your father's illness; every experience in life makes us stronger...

All the best to you! My heart goes out to you, Dear...:)

Have you gotten your diagnosis?

I am having the same symptoms like you and I am now being tested for Addison's, Lyme, OR Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

We are not so far in age, so I can relate to your symptoms because I feel as if I am 90 years-old!

My MRI test have come back normal so MS has been ruled out for now, yet I am scared that it could be MS and the doctors are missing it...

Hi guys. No dx yet. I had a bone scan, it came back okay. Wonder if arthritis would show up. I am still getting a buzzing feeling on and off in my feet and had it in my hands last night, sometimes I feel like my insides are shaking too, like my blood or something. I just dont know what to think, do I have MS, possible Lyme, or is this just joint issues due to possible colitis?

Nexis, What else have you been tested for? I have been tested for many many things, all neg so far.
