Pain Guy

I have been taking Watson pharmaceuticals preparation of hydrocodone for quite a while now, four 5/500 pills/day, for Fibromyalgia. My pharmacy recently switched to Mallinckrodt, and it seems to be less effective for pain control in the exact same dosage as Watson's. Has anyone had a similar experience and/or have any knowledge about this topic? I would welcome any advice. Thanks.

You have found what many of us have found that Mallinckrodt (often referred to as Mallincrapt) is not near as effective as the other brands.

Here we go again, another victim. So many of us have found the Mallincrodt brand to be sadly ineffective. (I'm discovering that Ethex brand is bad also)

When I was taking this med. a couple of years ago...I was given the Mallinckrodt brand once. It didn't work for me...and I called my Dr. and told h
him...I was given another script...and told the pharmacy not to give me the mallinckrodt brand. I threw that batch of pills out...what a waste. I am very careful now...always check that I am getting the Watson brand of my current med. when I go to the pharmacy.
