I certainly didn't want to seem insensitive to your heart problems - and you're probably right, if a coronary event happens to me, I might sing another tune.
However, please understand I do have much on the line here. According to the popular beliefs on cholesterol I am 4 times more likely to have a heart attack than someone with low cholesterol. I suffered EXTREME anxiety when I heard this news. I am no longer concerned at all about my cholesterol, but I am still concerned about heart disease. Trust me, it was not an easy thing for me to get past such a popular belief about cholesterol. Now I know, a heart attack can happen regardless of anyone's cholesterol level.
If I had suffered any heart problems, I might very well accept statin treatment for my medication. I am not allowed to place links to websites here, so just a brief input on statin: Their benefits to heart patients are not from their cholesterol lowering effects, but from other benefits which reduce swelling and inflamation in the arteries..
So my messages on this board here are intended solely for seemingly healthy people who are concerned with cholesterol levels in their blood as was I. I'm sorry to seem insensitive to those who have real heart issues. I wish you the very Best of luck.
