Once you have had hpv, had treatment for it, are you over it after a period of time of clear pap tests or do you always have it in your body? Is this forever something you should worry about and not participate in oral sex because of the link to oropharyngeal cancers?

Doctors believe it can stay dormant in your body and possibly come back.
However, I wouldn't say that you can never have oral sex again . . . the risk of those types of cancers is extremely low.
It's estimated about 80% of people have the virus in their body; if ALL of those people were giving each other oral cancer the rates would be much much higher.
