View Full Version : Board Rules Question for the Moderators

Here's a question for the moderators, which I hope they will reply to publicly so others can read it as well.

If this web site is supposed to be helpful to our health, why is it a rule that no links to other web sites with health information be entered into a post?

There is a TON of helpful advice out there in the way of other web sites, but this site somehow sees that as competition or something - I don't know.

Could we get an explanation as to why, for example, no one can steer me to a web site that lists foods high in cholesterol that I would like to learn about? This message board isn't very helpful to me otherwise.

Thanks,
Schomer

Hello,
This website is for the purpose of a peer support community, giving and receiving support, and for personal sharing.

Websites that are informational only, without commercial or message board/chat content MAY be posted.
All informational .gov sites may be posted, and many .edu sites. Other sites may be posted if preapproved.

Members get to use this website FREE of charge as a public service and it may not be used to promote other websites for free, regardless if one personally benefits, unless it fits within the guidelines above.

Anyone may do a word search to get lists and information on nearly any subject, using any search engine. They may then share this information on the boards in their own words, of course, without infringing on copyright laws.

Thanks for asking.
