I would like others to share their experiences while on Tricor. I take 160mg. My numbers were something close to: Total 314 HDL 46 and LDL 194. Triglycerides were 369. VLD 74 TC/HDL: 6.9 I don't understand all that but was told I have Hyperlipidemia? and that it is a familial trait. Have others been successful on this medication at lowering their Trig. and upping the Good Cholesterol? Any side effects? How about Fatigue? aches? Can anyone explain what the blood test CPK is for and what it means?

Husband being tested for neuromuscular disese....I think symptoms are from Tricor...symptoms are: Weakness, fatigue, rash, itching, muscle twitches. muscle weakness and degeneration, big stomach (bloated we think), cramping in leg and legs hurt from knee down, sometimes body hurts. He stopped taking it Sun....and yesterday broke out into rash from knee down. I HOPE it is the Tricor.

Thank you. I hope all turns out well too. He has been off of Tricor since Sun. On Wed. he broke out in a rash from knees down. This AM we got intimate and he could not breath and his stomach cramped up to the point we almost called 911. I do not know what is happening to his body. I hope it is the Tricor...anything is better than ALS. If it is the Tricor, it is causing terrible reactions, both while on it and now getting off of it. I hope it is the Tricor. Hopefully I will be able to report back with good news....hopefully. Thanks, and GL to u, Amy

....P.S.....the symptoms that my husband has are (and the doc thinks neuromuscular disease...I think Tricor): hard to breath, at times nausea, pain throughout body, cramps in legs, joints hurt...especially in legs, sometimes this makes it hard to walk, he fell down steps 2 times in 3 days 2 weeks ago, muscle twitching , rash from knees down, headaches at times. Tired and fatiqued. If this is the Tricor, good luck to anyone on it.....again, I HOPE it is the Tricor.

ashtonn, most, if not all, of what your husband is exhibiting can be found under allergic reactions to Tricor. I hope that all comes out well when he is tested. Brenda
