Hi all

many thanks for the low down on the eggs ( previous post )

My second question relates to the various OTC tablets at the local pharmacy like Cholest-off ect ... just wondering if anyone has tried them and if so what results were achieved , if any.

Thank you

I have had very good results with 20mg daily of policosanol. Straight policosanol, not the stuff that mixed a little of this and a littel of that. I know it can be ordered from a variety of places. I don't work for the Vitamin Shoppe nor do I know anyone that works there or owns one, etc. I only know that I buy my 10mg policosanol tables from them for about $11 per 60 count. I think the brand is Source Naturals.

No question it works for me. About 25% increase in HDL and 30% decrease in LDL and Total.

i just started taking cholest-off. I did a lot of reading about plant stanols and sterols and I feel it is worth the try. Unsuccessful with tricor..too many aches and pains.
