Hi everyone,
I'm new to the board. I'm 18 and recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was just looking around at different sites trying to further research this condition and this board seemed very comforting. Just wanted to say hello

I am glad you are here, and this is a great place. I hope we see a lot of you, and I am glad you have a diagnosis, and hopefully the right medications. I read your other post to me, and I thank you.

How long have you had the symptoms, and what type of doctor diagnosed you?

I am sorry to have so many questions, but I am curious, and I am 31, and often wonder how long this may have been brewing in my system. I have had headaches/migraines since I was a child.

Please keep posting, this is a great place, and it has helped me so much.

Welcome littlegirl. Lots of great info here and lots of friendly people. We had another 18yr old by the name of Godsgirl4ever. Actually I think she may have been 17 when she started. She is now in college and if I am correct just got married this month. She and her boyfriend...oops....now husband are so nice. She shared with us the problems of school with fibro, and we encouraged her in her entusiasm to raise money for the cause and get the word out through national fibromyalgia day.

I hope you stay and share with us, again welcome.

I've had symptoms for about a year. It started as a hip problem about 3 years ago but the real symptoms started the summer going into my senior year. I was a dancer and a cheerleader, let me tell you it was the hardest thing to fight through. I went to a neurologist and he basically knew what it was even before he tested.
