Can the HPV be transmitted to the oral cavity and become mouth cancer or can it cause mouth cancer?

Yes, HPV can be transmitted to the mouth (and throat) and it can cause cancer. I don't know what the percent chance of that, though. I believe it would be appropriate to discuss this with a physcian or dentist.

Yes, it can cause mouth and throat cancer. But it is very rare.

I only found out this was possible last week. It's quite a scary thought, even if it is 'rare'. Some of the reports i read on the net believe it will become an epidemic in the future and say it ought to be included in sex education in schools.
From what i can gather, it's only certain strains of HPV, which cause cervical cancer, which will also cause the throat/neck cancers.

I'm not sure where you read that . . . and it could be true . . . but just a general warning; be VERY careful what you read on the Internet. A lot of sites have incorrect information and even boards like this, which are helpful, have a disproportionate number of "worst case" scenarios.
I know from experience that I freaked myself out over a lot of things that were very unlikely because of some panicked Internet searches right after my diagnosis.
