well, to put it to you this way, I got diagnosed about 8 months ago, and had regular yearly exams and they had not caught it. I'm guessing maybe sometimes it won't show up becuase that was kind of my situation, it just was not for as long as yours. Hope that helps!

Yes, it is absolutely possible. I'm living proof of it.

I've been with my husband for 16 years and I have been faithful. I believe he has, too. We had partners prior to us meeting and getting together. So, my most recent exposure to high risk HPV was 16 years ago.

I've NEVER had a bad pap in my life. My cervical cancer was found because my doctor did the HPV/DNA test back in December.

For the record, I got my pathology report back today from my hysterectomy and she got ALL of the cancer on the biopsy the day before my hysterectomy. I will not need further treatment for the cancer. I will just have careful follow up for the rest of my life.
