I have had a rash for several months now and just in the past few days it has gotten worse, a lot worse. I went to my dr. for the first time a couple months ago for it. It started on my right side then appeared on my left side. When my dr. first looked at it she said it looked like a big hive. The skin appears red and swollen where the rash is (not a deep red though, the bumps and color look more like a mosquito bite). When the rash first started it was in a circular form and the center was clearer but now it is just one big patch. Just in the last few days it has spread to my thighs, stomach, back, neck etc. My dr. prescriped a medium strength cream the first time and then when I went back monday she prescribed a full strength cream that she said only to use ten days. She does not know what it is and said the cream she originally gave to me should have taken care of it. So she recommended I see a dermatologist. Unfortunatley she could not get me an appointment until july 15. I can't take this for that long. I took benadryl last night and it helped with the itching but made me so sleepy so I can't take it while I'm working. The itching is driving me crazy. I don't think it is contagious because I have had it for months and my husband and kids have not gotten it. I just don't know waht to do. I am going crazy due to the itching. If anyone knows what this could be please tell me. Or if anyone has any advice please let me know. I'm getting desperate. I don't think I can wait til the 15th. Help!
