Hi folks,

I hope all is well with everyone. I've been without my laptop for almost five weeks and that's why I haven't posted recently.

I am off medication (again) and so far I got a reading of 107/72. I hope it holds! I can't understand the fluctuations with my numbers. My GP said my numbers when taking the Micardis pills were better than a woman's. That's how I got off the drugs again. Anyway, that's the latest with this patient.

Regards to all,

Marantz.

Your blood pressure is really good. How long has it been at this level without the help of antihypertensive medication? You are not alone in failing to understand your blood pressure fluctuations. What are the women's numbers supposed to be like when compared to men's? Sounds a bit strange. I am not sure I believe there are any marked differences in blood pressure between males and females. Anyway, I hope your blood pressure remains good, and that your present levels can be maintained without any medication. Thank you for your update. :)

Hi FG,

I was struck but her comments too. I just thought to myself that female blood pressure was lower than males. But I've quickly discovered that blood pressure, like a persons height, can be a individual thing. In any event, I'm happy it's 'normal' at the moment. :)

PS, I'm about a month of medication.

Thanks FG.

Hi Sally,

You sound very well. I got a pulse the last day of 51. I told my GP, and she said that's fine. So, nothing to worry about there. Atenolol will slow your heart rate down as you probably know. I remember getting numbers in the mid forties! No wonder I was zonked.

Marantz.
