Sorry I dont have time to post much, but just wanted to say hi. Today the weather just was horrible for me, and along with the med shortage [the oxycontin isnt doing crap for me] and all, Im just trying to hang in there.
Ill post more Monday when i get home. Hope everyone is doing well.

p.s. I got my meds, [the hydro] they were waiting for me at the villa when I arrived, and I was so very very thankful... Thank you to eveyone who has been pulling for me~ im actually doing pretty well, considering!

Glad to hear you meds arrived. Has the weather(and that other problem we won't mention)affected your playing much?? Hope you are doing well.
It's been miserably hot here. I'm more worried about Monday and Tuesday. It's supposed to be really muggy and I feel like there's an elephant on my chest when it's like that.

I forgot to add, that Ive read everyones' posts and want to reply, but Ill just say Ill reply when I have more of a chance to write more. i dont like just giving a sentence or two. i care about all of you, and want to give you all of my attention. I sincerely wish the best for everyone and Ill be happy to have time to visit with all of you when i return. I hope you all understand.

Im signing off, Mush, did you mean that since my boy is in Florida and I havent seen him for three weeks? I didnt know what you meant about the "other problem." That has been huge. I miss him horribly. He is my little caddie. I spoke to him tonite, and he just did his basketball camp at FSU, and had a wonderful time. He met a ton of new friends and is having fun with his cousins, ect. What every 12 yr old kid needs to do for a summer. Hes having an absolute blast.
I have GOT to get myself to bed, I ache all over. i had a massage tonite about two hours ago, and Im ready to drop. It felt good, but yet I still hurt. My shoulder and neck feel llike someone is sticking hot knives into it. I took an extra dose of my LA hydro, and an extra b/t med the last three days. Im oporating on way less than I had i the first place. I need to get through this week, and Ill deal with the situation after I get home if it comes up. Sometimes yoiu just have to do what you have to do...
I miss all of my buddies~

Thanks for posting! I am so glad you got your meds.
It has been SO hot here all day, I have had a bad headache and felt sick to my stomach all day, I always do that when it's really hot, but the methadone seems to make it wayyyy worse.
Your son sounds very sweet, I am close to my sons as well, Its a comfort.

I'm sorry, I meant your lack of pain control. I know how you feel about your boy. My middle son spent 6 weeks on the other side of the state last summer with our good friends who had just moved away.:( They live on acreage next to a creek, a block from a river, their grandparents live on a lake(my son loves to fish) and they have quads, dune buggies etc. He had a blast and wanted to stay the whole summer. Have you heard the expression,"Having children is like having you heart running around outside your body."??? It is so, so true.
I know the pain of hot knives...mine are next to mu shoulder blade and under my collarbone. Actually, I told my pm doc that sometimes it feels like a small animal is trying to dig its way out of my lung!:D How's that for a visual?
Fabby, Thanks for thinking of me. I got my meds without any problems. I guess it was miserable down in Gresham, too? It's supposed to be really muggy and that is really painful for my lung. It feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest and I can't breathe!!:( I was lucky enough to get to sleep out on our new boat last night. It was great until about 9 am when it all of the sudden it got really choppy and I started throwing up.:(:mad: I guess that's another med I need to ask for...scopalamine. it's awful. I know most of us react with the weather, the pain going up and down with the barometer, but this is terrible, I am just sick from the heat.
I am an Irish-Oregonian, so I was never meant to be in temps above 75, I am so pale I don't even need x-rays, the doctor just holds me up to a window.:jester:
The heat has just really gotten to me, my ankles are swollen, I can't get rid of this headache, and nothing I eat wants to stay down.
I need to ask my doctor for an anti nausea medication, I lost my evening methadone dose only about 1/2 an hour after I took it. I can't take more or ask for replacements, so a few more like that and I could be in trouble.

Izzy, I think you have a ton of company my meds are not doing the job either. I would have never believed in a million years how much the weather effects your body. What a mess! Thats one thing even the doctors cant control, mother nature. Any way good luck to you!
Trow, you have the old elephant sitting on your chest to, awful feeling, I feel for you my friend. I aways say feels like someone is twisting my shoulder behind my back & just keeps twisting & twisting, so I know how that pain goes. I never heard some one describe pain like you did, an animal digging, what a vivid picture for your doctor, think he gets it, lol.
You know I could not wait for summer, I guess that old saying becareful of what you wish for is true. Sammy

Fabby, I hope your nausea is better and that the doc will give you something for it when it rears it's ugly head. I have lost many doses that way. It's no fun!:(
