Hi again. As I have said on prior posts I am new here. I hope the moderaters do not get mad I read the post above but I do have one question.
I have been trying to get disability due to the fibromyalgia and CFS I was denied and waiting a hearing next April.
I was wondering wouldn't collapsed discs in my back help the case along a little. I am not asking for disability advise only if anyone has been accepted on disability due to their back issues. I called my attorney this morning and my case worker is usua;;y so upbeat but today when I told her the latest finding on my back she just said each case is different ect ect.
Didn't feel that I had any extra help with my back issues.
Again I will listen to any one who has an opinion!!!!!!
Pls help.

Some people here have gotten disability due to back issues, but it's a long process for most. You have to jump through hoops (which isn't easy with back problems! ;)) I am at the hearing level, too. Keep hanging in there and just be honest as you fill out forms, forms, and more forms. Get everything documented that you can. The more your doctors document in support of you, the better off your case will be.

I wish you the best,
Emily

Hi,

Years ago, when my husband had to file for SSDI,, he filed for ONLY back problems. He was 57 then at the time, and did win after the first denial, 2nd denial etc. He was prepared to go in front of a Judge, bt right before the court date we received a letter from the "head" attorney for SSA who reversed prior decisions due to over looked evidence!! Hubby was seeing a back specialist during his treatments, and her notes were totally overlooked. this is the very reason hubby won his case. So to answer your question, "YES" one can win with back problems, again depending on the gravity.
