i have to have a detailed ct scan of my heart muscle and am anxious. I have had a chest scan before and the contrast injection they gave me made me feel really unwell. Does anyone know if they use contrast for heart ct scans as well?

yes the usually do
be sure and tell them how it made you feel before
also talk it over with the doctor

hi,
thanks for that. I rang the ct department this morning and they said thay already had a note on my file about my previous reaction so will not use a contrast. I was getting myself in a state over nothing thankfully.
