At my annual exam the doctor said my cervix was hard to find. I have had exams every year, the last being less than 6 months ago from the same doctor, and never had this happen before. Can anyone tell me why my cervix is suddenly hard to find?

channel,

I found your post interesting because I have never heard of it before so I just did a quick search about it. It said reguarding the "vaginal exam" the cervix can be hard to find and takes some practice. It said, if your having difficulty finding it, move speculum in or out slightly, or to the right or left.

The only thing I can figure with your Doctors comment, that perhaps they are "new" at it? I see you said you had seen that same doctor 6 months prior, so I don't know. Unless you have had a hysterectomy since then which in Most cases the cervix is also removed.. Maybe you should try a different GYN to see if they have the same problem?

I can understand you being puzzeled by that comment, given the fact you have your paps on a regular basis and never have heard that before.

Hope this helps somewhat..
Take care, and God bless.
Annette
