I am so frustrated with this process. It took 4 years to get my hearing with the ADLJ - that was back in May. I was so upset to hear it would take another 2 months to know what his decision was.
I am not able to just sit back and wait so I made a few calls and always got a different answer.
Finally on June 13 the 800# told me that a decision had been made BUT they could not tell me what it was. I then went to my local office and was told it was a positive and I was approved.
One would think this would be the answer they wanted to hear and things would now be smooth. NOPE. I still have no letter (it has not even been mailed out) and my frustration is so great that my moods are being effected.
My lawyer is sick of me calling and seems to not care at all. Can a lawyer get this moving any faster??
Also my case is a closed period which means they only need to send me one check of back back, no monthly benefits.
Any advise?? The waiting game is making my stomach hurt.

I feel so bad for you and everyone else. The waiting is a killer. We are still waiting for a letter as well. When we called the 800# we got 2 different answers. From what I understand if it is at your local office and you have direct deposit you may already have your back pay and not know about it so check your account.

I have checked my account and there is nothing there, I just gave them that info this week. The 800 lady today said that yes a decision had been made but everything still says pending. Her explanation of that was they were still working out how much they owed me etc.

Well at least you won! Congrats. I know waiting is hard just try to relax.

Until they make a move I just can not let myself believe that. So does anyone know if the lawyer should be dealing with this delay or why they would make a decision yet sit on it for so long?

It's a slow moving wheel. old and in the need of oil. But it will happen. You will bang your head on the wall, and just when you are about to pass out. something is in your mail box.

Ok so my advice for what it is worth is to not even bother EVER calling anyone at the 800#.
I called again today simply to see if the decision papers had been sent. I was told NO. 1 hour later I went to my mail and there it was!!!
Just the letter mind you, now I wait for the packpay.
So for anyone looking for correct answers, please dont call the 800# it will just be frustrating and upsetting.
