aw i feel for you ,i have a denture up the top with 4 teeth on it ,and even though its not very comfortable ,you do get used to it ,and a top denture is much easier to get on with ,as you have the suction of your roof of your mouth
but there is also polygrip glue for dentures you can use to make sure it stays there ,or other types if you feel uneasy about it ,so you feel more secure with it
as for the bottom teeth ,i wont lie to you ,and i am like you also petrified of the thought of dentures at the bottom ,as they are much harder to get on with ,but with perseveriance (not sure if i spelt that right) but once you get used to them ,they be ok as many people i know who have all dentures top and bottom
they say its the best thing they had done ,even though i still have reservations
but ,if you have no choice ,and you have to have dentures ,just have to think well at least you hsve teeth to show ,just think its better to have a denture than none at all in *eek*
good luck

I just had dentures on lowers put in. The most expensive part was the extraxtions (12)
My part with insurance was 1200.00 but I got the most expensive ones. This included my temp denture all my soft liners and in about 10 months my perm denture and all adjustments. Where I went they had complete sets starting at 395.00. It is a place called Dentures and Dental in Oklahoma City there is one in Tulsa, I think they are in several states.
