I recently was taken off my Toporal XL 50mg and Norvasc 5mg. I have had a rare condition known as Myocardial Stunning. It was 1 episode a little more than 2 years ago. I have a wonderful cardiologist in that when I asked if I needed to stay on these meds for the rest of my life considering everything that I read said no but his advice was that there's no conclusive evidence suggesting it as preventative or not so he was fine taking me off the meds. The Norvasc was given for high blood pressure and was prescribed by my original cardiologist under the assumption that I had a heart attack though they couldn't find conclusive evidence to the cause so assumed HBP. Anyway, I don't have HBP so I went of those meds too. What I have discovered is that my PVC's have stopped. Maybe it's too soon to tell (been just about 6 weeks now) but has anyone developed PVC's AFTER starting heart meds? I just find it a bit odd that they would suddenly (but happily) disappear. :wave:
