I have bruxism and I can really tell when I don't wear my mouth guard the night before because I have a headache all day the next day.

Anyway, I am wondering if anyone else out there who wears a mouth guard at night encounters this problem:

In the middle of the night sometime, I never know when, I take my mouth guard out. I don't know WHERE I put it! Every single morning it's a new adventure. I look under the bed, the night table, all through my covers, under my pillow and I feel so relieved when I find it. It has now been 3 days and it still hasn't turned up. I never sleep walk. I just take it out when I'm sleeping and it gets lost!
Anyone else do this? I'm still looking for it. When it's lost like this, I just wait long enough and it turns up again but, boy do I have an headache!

I was given a nightguard several years ago and tried wearing it at night and would find it someplace on the floor in the morning. I guess it was so uncomfortable that I would take it off and not realize it.

I just had this one readjusted today as I definitely need to wear it in light of my new jaw clicking problems. So I'm starting in again tonight and hope it stays in my mouth.

I hope you find yours soon. They are expensive to replace. I wonder if night guards can be made in color so their easier to find? I don't have headaches but a loose tooth so I'll see if it helps this until I can get to the specialist.
