My daughter has not been sleeping well for over a year now. Recently I took her to an ENT doctor and he said her adenoids were blocking over 90% of her airway and that her tonsils were rather large too.

So, we had them removed 9 days ago, thinking that this would fix the sleeping issues. However, they have gotten sooo much worse. I am so discouraged and just don't know what to do from here.

I know that she may still be recovering from the surgery and that things may still be swollen, but many people that I've talked to say that they slept better within a few days of the surgery.

I'm just wondering how long it has taken other people's children to start sleeping well.

Do I just need to give it more time or do I need to start looking again for possible causes of the sleeping problems?

She usually has a night terror within and hour and a half of falling asleep, and then after that she is waking up crying every half hour to hour. She is so sleep deprived as are we all. I just don't know how much longer we can all live on this little sleep.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
