I spent the first half of my life trlying to keep my weight down, I'm not spending the second half worrying about numbers. I'm going to eat my eggs, cheese and butter. If I live to be 79 instead of 80 because of a peice of cake so be it. My grandmother didn't worry about what she ate and she lived to be 95. I'll take my prescriptions for high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Hopefully I won't have to take any more pills. Seems like every time I get a test something else pops up. Next week another test. Hopefully nothing will come up from it.

Sorry about this post. I know I should watch what I eat and I do try. I was just irritated that day.

Oh Alice, do I hear ya. Don't apologize. We all get that way sometimes.
Actually, I pretty much agree with you about the value of living an extra year by giving up everything that gives a person pleasure.
I don't have much else to offer you ~ except have you taken a look at the thread where we discussed thyroid function and its link to high cholesterol? Maybe it has something for you to consider there. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/Forum65/HTML/000999.html

Just wanted you to know you were heard. Good luck.
