I have been reading this colesterol board and in Canada we get our results different than in USA. Mine reading was 5.6----and my husbands was 7.1.....How do you relate these readings to the USA readings. Is there an equasion to do for changing it over from USA to Canadian.

Your cholesterol levels are expressed in mmol/L. In order to convert them into mg/dl, you need to divide by .0259. Your cholesterol now becomes 216mg/dl, and your husband's becomes 274mg/dl.

By the way, in order to convert your triglyceride value, just divide it by 0.0113.
