Hello all.My dad,who has been sleeping more time than not lately has had a change the past few nights of not being able to sleep much.

Last night he said it was too hot.I took his temp and it was normal, also his forehead felt cool.

The past few days his feet have been swelling-not just his ankles, although he is urinating-not as much.

Last time his ankles were swollen,we kept his feet up and it went down by the morning.

His hospice nurse said a little edema is very common in the elderly especially w/ the warm weather and also when you are not moving around too much.

Did anyone experience this sleeping change?

Thanks.

I have ovarian cancer and fibromyalgia also. My sleep pattern is very messed up. I go sometimes two nights without being able to fall asleep. Then I sleep 17 to 18 hours or so. I don't know what causes it, it just happens. Also my feet swell too. Wish I had an answer for you.
