I was told 4+yrs ago that I had exposure to Herpes through a standard STD test. I have never had symptoms or an outbreak. What are the chances / percentage of me spreading herpes through unprotected sex to my boyfriend? Is it possible to spread orally if you have no symptoms also and have never had an outbreak?

Yes you can. The disease stays dormant in the bottom of you spine and when irritated then an ot break will occur. Sometimes you can have symptoms or not. Be careful Use protection.

Orally can I though? I mean without sypmptoms? I know there is shedding in the genitals, but does that also occur in the mouth when there are no symptoms and never have been?
Also, I read that you can spread it to the hand? Is that only when there is an outbreak in the area? Or a cut / sore on the hand? Is that a lower chance? Is washing your hands before and ever enough?
