:( Hi. Really concered about chest muscle irritation the past several weeks. I had open heart surgery 10 years ago, had recent EKG and everything seems OK. The chest pressure feels like a tight 4 " rubber band is around my chesy in the sternum area. Uncomfortable when I breath but no shortness of breath. Is it possible to have adhesions after so many years since surgery?

I don't know about adhesions but there could be blockages that are not showing on the EKG. has your Dr recommended other tests for you? A CTA or stress test possibly? If not, find another doc. Get it checked out. My wife had the rubber band feeling and she had more blockages after cabg.
