I am going on vacation next week and I want to have sex aaallll week but my period is scheduled just days before.... sooo would it be so bad if I took my ring out early so I could have my period sooner? is that so bad? is there a way to cheat your period with birth control?!
the timing really couldn't be more inconvenient.. if I know that this is safe, then I will take this thing out right now!! what if it is just a couple days early?
Also, do I have to wait until the sunday after my period or just a full seven days or just when the bleeding stops?
please someone help if you have any knowledge about this or any experience! I had this whole sexy week planned and forgot to look at the flippin' calendar. :(
(don't laugh.. well okay.. I'm laughing.. but I know he won't be laughing so much when we can't play)

btw, when I ask if I have to wait until the sunday after, I mean how long do I have to wait until I put the ring back in... :)

Who knows if that would work. Better idea: remove your current ring at 21 days as usual, and immediately insert a new one. Leave the new one in for 21days, then remove it and go back to your usual routine of time off for bleeding.

I def agree with the other person who commented. Taking it out early would mean it might not be working. I would think that taking it out when scheduled and starting a new one right away would be like skipping the placebo week of pills. While this isn't a great idea, I have heard of people doing it to avoid a period that month. Not sure if you would have break through bleeding or not or how heavy your next period would be though, because I have never done it. Hope this helps and just keep your health in mind! BTW...how do you like the ring? Thinking about switching to it from the patch, but I've heard that it kills a lot of people's libido. Any advice on that? Thanks!

I felt my sex drive flop dead at first, but after a few days (maybe a week or so) it got better.. but I can't tell if it is the ring or just me because I am also going through a LOT of emotional stress right now that really doesn't help..
but so far so good! It's wonderful not having to remember to take a pill every day or having to worry if I've missed one :) freeeeedom!
I'm still weirded out by it though.. that a little plastice/jelly like ring is gaurding my reproductive system from reproducing... but my girlfriends use it and love it and I'm starting to agree that it is a better way to go.
Everyone's different though..
Thank you guys for your input on the whole "skipping period" thing.. I know with pills you can continue to take them for up to a couple months without taking that week break and I was just hoping same rule could apply for the ring. I will try it. (I'll ask the pharmicist too though)
