Not sure. Have you tried ice to help with the swelling? If it seems to make the hand worse( severe pain and swelling doesn't go down) then you might want to check out Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy under Health Issues.

Actually, I Tried Ice And Heat But Got No Relief. I Was Wondering If Scar Tissue Can Be Removed. I Have Sharp Pain In The Wrist And Fingers. Sometimes I Feel Like I Over Use My Hand And Arm And That Causes Pain And Swelling, But I Have To Work.

I had scar tissue removed and a second carpal tunnel. But now the nubness and tingling have returned and I can't see myself going a third time. I'm doing further investigation. Let me know what happens.

I Didn't Know You Could Have The Surgery Twice Or Scar Tissue Removed! Perhaps I'll Try That.

I had cts and surgery in 2005 and a relapse in early 2007. I went to a physical therapist who told me that carpal tunnel is the #1 surgery for relapses. I did too much too soon. I had another EMG test done and it was decided that my surgery was a success even though I had pain again. What you probably need is physical therapy. If you can't afford that, get a hot wax machine, a heating pad and dip your hands into it and then wrap them and put them in a heating pad for a while. Then do stretching exercises. I think you might be able to find them online. Then you will eventually need strenghthing exercises. Good luck.

How Did You Find Out You Relapse? Did You Pay For Your Own Emg Test? My Workers Comp Is Saying I'm Not At Mmi And Sent Me For An Xray And Now Saying I Have Arthritis.

Bonner, Yes we had to pay the money out of pocket. Expensive, not so sure it was worth it only to know for sure that more surgery wasn't needed. If you go to THE arthritis website, you'll see where cts is a form of arthritis. I didn't know that until I researched my mom's arthritis.
