i applied for ssdi in jan.08 just got a letter saying benefits will be paid starting in aug.08 will i get back pay ,i stopped working in january and went right in and filed.

Hi Nicola, It all depends on SSA deemed you disabled!! If you applied in Jan. and already received an approval, the process went very quickly. Remember theres a 5 month non-pay period. Perhaps there maybe 1-2 months of backpay. Vergie |
