does anyone have this proplem? i have been on lexapro 10mg, & xanax .25 for 2 years for gad. lately it seems like my short term memory is not so good. i seem to struggle to remember things i just read or i'll not remember something i was told. its almost like my brain is foggy. could this be a side effect of these meds? also can someone tell me if i should take the lexapro at nite or morning. thanks

I take 20 mg lexapro and .5 mg xanax. I have found that the lexapro works best for me if I take it in the morning and I take the xanax at night to help me sleep. I have been taking them for many years and I never had problems with memory loss until I began taking topomax for as a migraine preventative. I'm not sure if the topomax caused it or if the combination of all three caused it. Are you taking any other meds?

I began to do strange things along with the memory loss, for example I put the cordless phone in the refrigerator!! Lucky as I adjusted to the topomax it seemed to get better.

I'm not sure if this helped or not but I thought I'd tell you what I knew of it. Good luck to you!

thanks. yeah unfortunately i also have to take crestor & synthroid. i don't know if maybe the crestor is the problem but i've been taking synthroid for years & haven't had a problem with it. i take my lexapro in the am too & the xanax in the evening.
