i have two nodules in my lung and asthma do i have lung cancer i am a 40 year old women who just started to have asthma 8months ago and has been smoking 2 packs of cigarrets a week for 20 years. my mother died of ovarian cancer at the age of 50. i am so scarred, does the onset of adult asthma mean that i have cancer? i have quit smoking and found the nodules threw a cat scan why is my next cat scan in 3 months with contrast will this show more results and why not sooner. please help really really scared mom of two in new york

Have you talked to your doctor about the nodes in your lung? Your next cat scan could be in 3 months to see if your nodes grow. If you're not comfortable with what your doctor has said or waiting the 3 months, I would definitely get a second opinion. A lot of people do get second opinions.
