hi on monday i went to the doctor because i had tonsilightus, he gave me an antibiotic called Augmentin-Duo, on tuesday morning i had diarrhea, so on wed i stopped taking it, i havent took it for the past 24 hours yet i woke up thismorning with diarrhea, it seems to only last for the morning but this is the 3rd morning in a row, can anyone tell me if it is because of the antibiotic, or is it something else?

Along with bad bacteria, antibiotics tend to destroy the good bacteria in the stomach. You should continue taking your Augmentin but you can eat yogurt with lactobacillus acidophilus to replace some of the good bacteria in your digestive tract to help off set the side effects of the antibiotic.
If you do not like yogurt, they also have this in pill form. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to suffer a little bit in other ways to get better. So sorry for you. Having been on antibiotics many times, I know what you are going through.

hi Lindaru thanks for the reply, i havnt taken them since wednesday today is the first day i have felt ok, i dont know weather to start taking them again but as you say yogurt should halp i think i might give it a try, i have been on 7 antibioics since september because of my tonsilightus, this is the first antiobiotic that has given me diarrhea, and its nit very nice ha
