Back in Dec of 07 my chest x-ray showed what the doctor thought was scar tissue. I had a c scan in Jan just to get a better look. I was told to wait 3 months to have another one, I had it yesterday.

The doctor called me this morning and said it had grown a little, I go for a petscan Tue.

I'm scared to death and haven't told my husband or anyone since my first x-ray in Dec. My husband's first wife died of breast cancer and he had a really difficult time. I just don't want to worry him or anyone in my family by sharing this.

Just wanted to share my feelings

We are here to support you in any way we can. However, I really think you should tell you husband what is going on. I am sure he would be very supportive and help you to not be so terrified.

I wish you well and hope the pet scan comes out clear. My thought and prayers are with you. Keep us updated.

Thank you so much, it's nice just to put this in words.

I know I should tell my husband but I really want to wait until after the Scan Tue. He is so emotional about things I don'twant to worry him until I know for sure what's going on.

I hope things work out for you.
You really should tell your husband.

I don't understand why they make us wait to look for growth.
My doctor found two masses in my lower left lung from doing a catscan.
He told me to wait 6 months for another catscan! I asked him about the lump under my laft arm and he said the ct scan didn't pick anything up.
After telling him there was absolutely no way that it was scanned without a note on it. It's about 1" wide and 1/4" deep. Turns out they missed it!
So I get scanned again in two days.

How large is the mass or nodule?

I really hop things work out well for you.
Good luck skygirl.

Hi Skygirl,

I've been thinking about you almost everyday. I'm worried about you too. I haven't seen a posting from you for quit a while. I'm thinking it must not be good to not hear from you - are you o.k., I know it must be a silly question and all but really....if you ever need to talk........it was hard for my mother to tell me about her cancer so she asked my sister to tell me. I'll be your sister if you need me to be.......

I'll keep you in my thoughts and hope you're doing as well as can be and that you're comfortable.

We here, I'm here, let us help if we can, if you need.
