Beth,

PTSD symptoms can deminish in intensity and may even go into remission(so to speak) but the likelihood that it will go away completely are remotely slim.

The thing with this disorder, is that it is triggered by stress(the intensity differs from person to person) and all it takes is another traumatically stressful situation to exacerbate its intensity.

Are you seeing a therapist and/or on medication?

Hello Beth,

It sounds like you are speaking of psychogenic nonepileptic seizures, which are primarily caused by stressful psychological experiences or emotional traumatic ones. It is your body's way of indicating excessive stress.

If depression and anxiety are factors, medication may be the way to go.

You ask me, the worker should have been fired; sexual harassment is nothing to play with, not to mention it was one of the causes for your increased symptoms.

Was the patient reprimanded?

the pateint was talked to by the sister/ward manager he admitted he had done wrong the trust told me they felt it should be reported to police which i did they took statement eventually aft few months they said as he was 72 it wasnt in the public purse interest to take it further
the member of staff who then assault me day aft was given a verbal telling off and apologised bt other staff then choose to blank me as i had reported her this mad eme worse as the nightmares kicked in and seizure have got worse

Beth,

I would do a little research on psychogenic nonepileptic seizures and treatments available.
