This past Monday, I began having pain in my left testicle. The pain has gotten gradually worse since then. I am married, 27 years old and have not had any sexual partners, other than my wife, since I was 22.
When I was 18 years old, I contracted Chlymidia from my high school girlfriend (who turned out to be less than faithful). I was given antibiotics, and the symptoms cleared up within a week. The reason that I mention this, is because the pain that I am currently having is similar to the pain that I had then. So, this leads me to believe that I have contracted Chlymidia again.
I am 99.99% sure that my wife is faithful. The .01 doubt that I have is simply based on the fact that I have not been with anyone else in almost 6 years and am now having symptoms similar to those when I contracted Chlymidia at 18.
My question is whether I could have had chlymidia this entire time, and it was dormant so to speak for the past 6 years? Or, could I have something entirely different?
I have made an appointment to see a urologist next Tuesday. I want to be as informed as possible when I go to my appointment. Thank you in advance for any suggestions or information.

No worries. I was told that the pain would subside with time. The pain and irritation I was having can be caused by a trauma, slight infection, or possibly dehydration. I guess that an STD is not always the explanation.
